Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Gideon Lahav is committed to serving every client equally, and works to keep this site usable by people with disabilities. That commitment follows the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998 and its 2013 service-accessibility regulations, and — for clients in the European Union — the European Accessibility Act (EAA) together with the EN 301 549 standard.

Level of accessibility

This site has been built to meet level AA of the Israeli standard IS 5568, which is based on the W3C's WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and to align with the level AA requirements of EN 301 549.

What we have done

• Sound semantic structure: a single H1 per page, an ordered heading hierarchy, and landmark regions that screen readers can navigate.
• Full keyboard operation, including a clearly visible focus ring with sufficient contrast, a "skip to main content" link, and focus management on every page change.
• Every dialog traps focus while open, closes with the Escape key, and returns focus to the control that opened it.
• Alternative text for images, and meaningful labels on all form fields and buttons.
• Colour contrast that meets the standard for text, buttons and focus rings — in both light and dark modes.
• Full right-to-left support in Hebrew, with correct reading order, direction-aware icons, and accessibility labels written in natural Hebrew.
• The operating system's "reduce motion" preference is respected across every animation on the site.
• A built-in accessibility toolbar, available on every page, for text size, high contrast, link highlighting, stopping animations and roomier text spacing. It can be minimised at any time and brought back with Alt + Shift + A or the button on this page.

Browsers and assistive technologies tested

The site was tested via full keyboard-only navigation, automated accessibility-tree inspection in Chromium, and verified at 200% zoom and a 320px viewport width. Full testing with screen readers (such as VoiceOver or NVDA) is planned for a future pass.

Known limitations

A few small decorative text labels (such as badges in the navigation) do not yet resize with the "text size" control in the accessibility toolbar; we are working on it. No other accessibility limitations are known at this time.

Accessibility at our premises

The business operates entirely online and has no physical location open to the public.
